June 21: Contemplative Fire

Gathering on the Longest Day of the Year

Contemplative Fire worship gathering June 21Our monthly Worship Gathering will be on Sunday, June 21 – the longest day of the year, the day of the summer solstice.

Sunday, June 21
4.00 – Stillness begins
4.15 – Worship service begins

Church of St. Leonard
25 Wanless Avenue
(Northeast of Yonge St. and Lawrence Av.)

Our creative, contemplative Gathering will be on the 3rd Sunday this month. On the longest day of the year we hope to worship outside and celebrate the beauty of our earth as well as the beauty of our God. If spaciousness and stillness, storytelling and sacraments appeal to you, come and join us on Sunday June 21 at 4.00 p.m. at St Leonard’s Church.

Last month in our Pentecost celebration we called it “Are you ready for the ride of your life?”. Listening to Paul in Romans 8 from The Message, we discussed how God takes up residence within us and knowing that, knowing who God is, who we are, we could ask the question “What’s next Papa?” Our worship times are unexpected and experiential, yet very familiar and peaceful. How can that be? Come and find out for yourself.
