When having it all is not enough

“There’s a place deep within us that wants to feel fulfilled. That wants to know my life has made a difference.” – Dr Wayne Dyer

Contemplative Fire presents The Shift on screen. Join us for dinner and a movie – a light supper of soup is served at 6 p.m., and the film gets under way at 7 p.m. There is also a book sale table: bring and buy gently-used spiritual books.

The Shift is a compelling portrait of three modern lives in need of new direction and new meaning. An overachieving businessman, a mother of two young children and a film director enter the spiritual journey of the second half of life when we long to find the purpose that is our unique contribution to the world. The powerful shift from the ego constructs we are taught early in life by parents and society – which promote an emphasis on achievement and accumulation – are shown in contrast to a life of meaning, focused on serving and giving back. The Shift not only inspires, but also helps us find the path to a spiritual journey and a soul directed  life.

This is a fund raising event for Contemplative Fire. The suggested donation is $20.
