Thank you Chantal Sathi

For the past three years Chantal Sathi has been leading the Children’s and Youth Ministries at St. John’s. Now she is moving on to new opportunities at Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) Canada. We are sad that we must say goodbye to someone who has served very ably at St. John’s, but we are happy for Chantal as she embarks on an exciting new mission.

Transformative Ministries at St. John’s

Chantal arrived at St. John’s a few years ago and was soon involved with both the Children’s Ministry and the Youth Ministry. She took a very active role and launched a number of projects and initiatives. These included field trips for the children to Ripley’s Aquarium and trips by the youth to the Christian conference Second Chance Toronto. When a larger room became available in the church, the youth under Chantal moved in and redecorated it, turning it into an attractive meeting space.

She also helped transform how people engage with Christian teachings. She brought a youthful perspective that helped participants understand the biblical messages, see how its truths apply in modern contexts, and realize how they can apply those in their own lives. Chantal’s efforts appear to have yielded good fruit – the Children’s Ministry is a lively place that attracts children from a lot of families, and the Youth Ministry has grown both in numbers and in strength of faith.

New Responsibilities and New Horizons

Chantal’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. A few months ago the people at RZIM invited her to join their organization. This was a tremendous opportunity for Chantal, and so after some thought and some prayer, she decided it was time to say goodbye to her friends at St. John’s.

The mission of RZIM is to bring the message of the Gospel of Christ to our society and to apply the teachings to help shape the ideas and beliefs of contemporary culture. RZIM is on a mission to evangelize, and in an age that values logic and reason, RZIM focuses on the historical and thoughtful justifications for the Christian message.

Chantal’s role at RZIM will be to help RZIM tailor its message and to help connect to younger people. Her experience over the past few years at St. John’s will no doubt serve her well in her new duties.

Thank you Chantal
for your contributions to St. John’s

Blessings and best wishes
for you at Ravi Zacharias International Ministries

Slab cake- God's blessings be with you Chantal
