Looking for yoga classes that are fun, invigorating and affordable? Then take a look at the classes now being hosted at St. John’s.
Practicing yoga is a good way to bring renewed vitality to the whole person. For the body, yoga gives the benefits of strength and balance. For the mind, it brings relaxation and a sense of well-being.
Two classes run each week at St. John’s, with yoga for all levels – beginners are welcome!
- Tuesdays, noon to 1 p.m.
- Thursdays, 1 to 2 p.m.
The classes feature flowing movement to music, instruction in asana (yoga poses and alignment), pranayama (breathing) and relaxation. Modifications and options are offered. Classes are led by Terry Tator, an expert instructor in both yoga and Pilates.
You’re welcome to drop in for a single session or to attend regularly as you wish.
When attending, wear comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat and two yoga blocks (4in by 6in). The blocks are optional but useful. You should plan to arrive five minutes early so that you have time to change and to settle in.
