Every Wednesday at 7 pm
- Note – Deep and Wide will be not meeting for the duration of Alpha, which is happening at Yonge Lawrence Fellowship starting on March 30, 2017 and running until June 15.
A different kind of weekly gathering is happening at the Yonge Lawrence Fellowship. It’s a place for people who want to experience a life well lived, who want to feel that there’s a plan and things are going according to plan, who want to know that their life has value.
A life well lived is a life where many of the details have been figured out. Details such as: What is my guiding purpose? How should I relate to those around me? What responsibilities do I have toward my family – to parents and to children? What about material possessions? How can I de-stress my life effectively? How can I know what is really important?
These are some of the topics that we look at every week at Deep and Wide. It is a place to hear frank talk, to offer your own ideas, and to discuss in a comfortable and safe setting. The evening includes time for teaching and discussion, worship and prayer, and socializing.
In other words, we are going deep and wide on matters that have traditionally been in the domain of the church, yet it doesn’t feel like being in a church. It’s a place where you can explore ideas, ask questions, and open up a little without feeling like you’re being preached at. It’s a place where you can be among fellow travellers on the journey of life.
Your host is Dr. Guy Chevreau. Trained as a pastor, Guy served in a local church for 13 years. In 1994 his life changed direction and he became a presenter and writer; he has now spoken in over 300 churches and has written nine books. Restoration is the common theme that runs through all his work.
