Fierce Light: When Spirit Meets Action

The movie profiles the powerful personalities of visionary Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hahn, Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alice Walker, among others.

Velcrow Ripper is a filmmaker fuelled by hope and determination, and his films are alive with electrifying ideas. His earlier movie Sacred Sacred won the 2005 Genie award for best feature documentary.

Spirit Cinema offers an evening that is entertaining and insightful. Enjoy some refreshments beforehand; stay afterward for a discussion. Spirit Cinema is a fundraising event for Contemplative Fire: a $10 donation is suggested.
