If you have significant doubts about your faith, can you keep the faith, or should you let go of it until you can resolve the doubts? John Ortberg answers that not only is it possible to have a trustworthy faith despite the doubts, those doubts can in fact strengthen your faith.
On Tuesday March 14, we meet to discuss the final two chapters of Writer John Ortberg’s book Know Doubt: Embracing Uncertainty in your Faith. In his book, Ortberg looks at the role of doubt in faith, and tries to answer questions such as: Why might you feel uncertain about particular teachings? If you do have doubts, does that mean that you’re not a true Christian? What should you do about your doubts?
Dinner. Discussion. Deeper Insights.
Gentlemen, do you have an appetite for personal growth? Join us for an evening of good food, good fellowship, and thoughtful discussion on topics that matter. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month.
It is suggested (but not required!) that you spend some time with Know Doubt before we meet. Copies are available from the church office, or from Wayne Minett in the foyer on Sunday mornings.
