Welcome James Sholl

James Scholl MJames Sholl is joining us for the summer as a McCollum summer student. He’s excited about working with both Yonge Lawrence Fellowship and with SJYM Youth.

James first came to Toronto in 2011 from south-east England to work with an urban missions organization called Urban Promise. In 2012 he joined Wellspring Worship Centre as an intern, later moving to the role of Pastoral Ministry Assistant. After several years he decided to further his studies, opting for an MDiv (Pioneer track) at Wycliffe College. Pioneer track students specialize in new ministries — church planting and “fresh expressions” of church for new generations of Christ-followers.

James has a heart for both the unchurched and the ultra-churched, posing challenging questions for everyone (including himself). When not found in a church setting he is most at home playing board games and watching his beloved Arizona Cardinals (although loving the NFL makes him something of a traitor back in England!)

While here for the summer of 2017, he’ll be working with Rev. Guy to nurture the recently-established Yonge Lawrence Fellowship and getting involved with youth ministry at St. John’s.

Welcome, James, to this community!
