May 12: Anglican Church Women

The Anglican Church Women of the Diocese of Toronto holds its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, May 12. This year’s theme is “Embracing Safety for All Women”.

The Anglican Church Women (ACW) is a long-standing ministry that affirms the gifts of all Anglican women and gives them an opportunity to contribute through worship, learning and service. Members of the ACW minister to needs both within the church, and in the wider community including health, education, and poverty.

On Saturday, May 12, 2018, members will gather at Church of Christ the King, 475 Rathburn Road, Etobicoke, for the Annual General Meeting and Luncheon. The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The doors open for registration at 8:45 a.m.

This year, the ACW is pleased to welcome guest keynote speaker Barbara Gosse, CEO of the Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking.

The day will include a Eucharist, lay anointing, lunch, keynote talk, and musical entertainment by the Ambiance Singers. Rev. Colin Johnson, Archbishop of Toronto, will be in attendance.

The meeting is open to all, men and women. Tickets cost $30 and include lunch. For tickets or more information about the ACW Annual General Meeting, or about the ACW itself, please call 416-363-0018 or email
