What is a Rhythm of Life?
It is a model of spiritual life for the person who would like to live beyond the superficial or the uncaring. It is grounded in monastic tradition and contemplative practices, and offers us a way to live lives organized around three core principles – Being, Knowing, and Doing.
What can I expect from the course?
The course will introduce you to the contemplative approaches to understanding and wisdom. It will then guide you to constructing a personal rhythm of life woven from three strands – being, knowing, and doing – or prayer, study, and action. The goal is a life transformed by the life-changing, soul-nourishing love of God.
When and where is the course?
The course will take place over three Saturdays: October 13, November 3, and November 19, and will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please bring a bag lunch. We will meet at St. John’s York Mills Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive. There is no charge for the course; freewill offerings will be gratefully accepted.
