Oct 21: Annual Vestry Meeting

The year ahead: have your say.

Once a year, the congregation of St. John’s York Mills Anglican Church is invited to gather with the leadership to review the accomplishments of the past year and to discuss the plans for the year ahead.

Our Annual Vestry Meeting takes place in the sanctuary on Sunday, October 21, 2018 following The Open Door. It’s like an annual general meeting for the church. At the meeting, we review reports from the clergy and the ministry teams, go over the 2017-18 financial statements, discuss the budget and plans for the coming 2018-19 fiscal year, and vote on major matters.

This is your opportunity to give your opinion about the direction of the church in the coming fiscal year. Note: there will be no Forum this Sunday due to the meeting.

All parishioners are encouraged to attend. In general, if you have been a member of St. John’s York Mills Anglican Church for at least three months, are at least 16 years old, you are eligible to participate.

Lunch will be provided and a free will offering will be taken to help cover expenses. We encourage young families to bring their children – there will be a children’s program including a pizza lunch.
