Mar 5: Shrove Tuesday Pancakes

Pancake Supper at St. Leonard’s Church:

Come to St. Leonard’s on March 5 for a Shrove Tuesday pancake supper hosted by the Scouts, from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. with continuous serving.

At St. Leonard’s Church, it’s been a tradition for the Boy Scouts to join with the congregation on Shrove Tuesday for a pancake supper. The Scouts cook up pancakes with all the fixin’s, and everyone is invited to come and enjoy the feast.

Admission is free. There is a donation plate – please consider an offering to help support St. Leonard’s Church.

Shrove Tuesday – The last day before Lent

Lent is a time of fasting, of going without, of prayer, and of penance as we reflect on the past year and set intentions for the year ahead. Shrove Tuesday is traditionally a day of feasting as we try to finish up food that cannot be consumed during Lent, and pancakes been a part of that tradition for several centuries.

Take part in tradition, and enjoy a fun and filling pancake supper!
