A new service: Sunday December 1 at 7 p.m.
Holy Waiting – a joint offering of Contemplative Fire and St John’s York Mills, this will be a quiet, reflective, one hour service of Advent readings and music. The readings are chosen to speak into the rush and busyness of the season helping us focus on preparing our minds and hearts for Christmas. The music too will have a simplicity and sense of preparedness.
Also on Sunday, December 1 – Pick up your family and adult devotional readings for Advent. Commit to time each day in devotional seasonal reading. For the adults there is “A World Awaits,” Daily reflections for Advent from the works of C. S. Lewis. For families there’s a child-friendly devotional called “No Crib for a Bed”
A challenge: This year will you make a special effort to prepare your heart and mind for the celebration of Christmas?
