Holy Week at St. John’s

In this final week of Lent we prepare for the most significant days of the Christian year.

Wednesday morning – April 16 at 7:30 a.m. – we have a simple service of Holy Communion, followed by coffee and fellowship.

Holy Week – On the last night of his life, Jesus called his disciples to come with him to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. In honor of his invitation, Monday to Thursday evenings of Holy Week from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. our sanctuary will be a dedicated place of reflection and prayer. Come as much as you like – each evening or once, for an hour or five minutes. There will be a written meditation for you. Drew+ and Anne+ will be there each evening to listen and pray with you if you would like to share with them from your Lenten reflections or life.

On Thursday at 8.00 p.m. the church will be stripped to prepare for Good Friday.

Good Friday – April 18 at 10:00 a.m. – Experience the Passion of Christ through special music and drama. Children’s Ministry is offering a children’s program at the same time.

EasterSunday April 20 at 8:00 a.m. a traditional Easter celebration. At 10:00 a.m. a lively, family-friendly service with special music. Our children will remain with us to celebrate Easter.
