Belonging: The Search for Acceptance

1124-spirit-cinema-belongingThe film Belonging: The Search for Acceptance is a profound, penetrating essay from the heart of Jean Vanier, a professor of philosophy and one of the great spiritual leaders of the twentieth century.

Vanier speaks to ideas of personal identity, of community and alienation, and of knowing oneself. He examines belongingness from a range of perspectives – at work, in school, in families, in cultures familiar and unfamiliar, in the broader world. Afterward, we’ll spend a few minutes discussing the film and how the ideas speak into our own lives.

Join us for an enlightening and thought-provoking evening. This is the last Spirit Cinema showing for 2016. Spirit Cinema is a fundraiser for Contemplative Fire – suggested donation is $20.
