An initiative of Contemplative Fire, where we discuss today’s hot topics. This month, we consider our reaction to the recent Assisted Dying legislation.
FIREWORKS! give you the opportunity to commune with others as we get in touch with our Fire side.
We discuss ‘hot’ topics affecting us today, where the Spirit of God may be inviting us to engage and make a difference. It is an evening to be with like-minded individuals sharing common passions. A great way to get to know one another!
This month we will be joined by Caroline Hunter. She is the Ethics Advisor at VHA Home Health Care and will be updating us on current legislation and opening up our ethical discussion on Assisted Dying.
Caroline Hunter has spent the last two decades working in both Clinical and Management roles in the Community Health Sector, she currently works in a management role at VHA Home HealthCare. For over a decade Caroline was the Co-Chair of the Community Ethics Network, a network of over forty five community based agencies whose mandate is to provide support, education and resources to community organizations in the area of community based ethics. In addition to nursing Caroline holds a degree from University of Toronto in Philosophy with a major in Bio-Ethics and an MBA from Athabasca University.
