Our Annual Vestry Meeting takes place in the new sanctuary on Sunday, October 19, 2014 following the 10:00 a.m. service. The Vestry will receive reports, consider the budget, and make plans for the 2014-15 fiscal year.
The Vestry report is now available – please click here to download it, or pick up a copy at church at the regular Sunday services October 5 and 12 or at the meeting on October 19.
Lunch will be provided and a free will offering will be taken to help cover expenses. We encourage young families to bring their children – there will be a special children’s program including a pizza lunch.
We encourage everyone who meets the Diocesan requirements at St. John’s York Mills to attend. This is your church: come, learn about what’s happening and have your say.
Canon 14 of the Diocese of The Anglican Church of Toronto outlines the requirements for persons to vote at a parish’s annual vestry. In essence: Each individual should be prepared to declare that they have been a member of the Anglican Church of Canada and the St. John’s congregation for at least three months; have attended worship services on a regular basis; are over the age of 16 years; and, have not voted nor intend to vote at any other vestry during 2013.
A Sign-In Sheet has been posted on the bulletin board inside the east door. Parishioners: if you plan to attend and vote at Vestry, please sign in whenever convenient between now and the meeting.
