Renovation: Phase 2 Begins

Sunday Worship is Relocating during Construction

MusicFest 2014, on Sunday afternoon, April 27, was our very last event in the “old” sanctuary. Now the sanctuary space has been taken over by the construction crew as they start phase 2 which will also include the foyer and the narthex. Phase 1 is continuing at the same time, and both phases are scheduled to finish around September.

Starting May 4, those Hard Hats and Hammers are sending our Hallelujahs down to the auditorium. Our Sunday services will be held here until the renovations are finished. Music, prayers and preaching all remain, but there are changes that you should know about.

  • Arriving: Entry will be through the East Door near the churchyard. Downstairs there are two coat racks. Name tags and bulletins will be inside the auditorium.
  • Access: If you need the Lift, it will be accessible through the Tower Door on the west side.
  • Children: The Children’s Ministry Welcome Desk will be located near the nursery. When the children arrive they will go straight to Children’s Ministry, but will continue to join us as usual for Eucharist.
  • Service: The service will be as usual with simpler music, two stations for communion, healing prayer on the left side behind the clergy, and coffee will be brewing in the kitchen behind us.

There will be a warm welcome and helpers everywhere to help us all settle into the temporary space.
